Tuesday 9 June – Monday 15 June Minister for Health Jenny Mikakos urges Victorians to continue to seek medical treatment and general healthcare checks during the pandemic amidst falling cancer referral rates. The Australian Government has invested $3.5M to NSW researchers and $2.3M to University of Melbourne to predict the demand of cancer treatments over five years and the impact of current and new cancer treatments respectively. In addition, almost $35M is to be invested in Indigenous health projects and $23M to fund specialist prostate cancer nurses.
