IDA’S IMPACT: Entergy New Orleans’ request to bill customers for $170 million in Hurricane Ida costs is now the subject of City Council review. The council’s utility committee voted Wednesday to consider the proposal, which, along with another request to replenish a depleted storm reserve fund, would raise monthly bills by $4.40 for the average customer.

RE-PORTING: The Port of New Orleans on Thursday announced modifications to its plan to build a $1.5 billion container ship terminal on the Mississippi River at Violet, with the aim of appeasing St. Bernard Parish residents, some of whom still oppose the project.
