The Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions have not discouraged people from dreaming and working on achieving those dreams.
Idols SA launched its first-ever online auditions on 29 January 2021 in line with lockdown restriction, ensuring many hopefuls' safety. Just seven days later, South Africa's largest singing competition has garnered 10 000 entries and counting.
"This is a testament that young people of South Africa are still hungry for this competition; they believe it is a platform to help them become the singing sensations they believe they are," says M-Net.
