| Andrew Lincoln is Scrooge in The Old Vic’s live-streamed ‘A Christmas Carol’ | So this is a great way to spend some time this Christmas – and you don’t even have to leave your sofa. The Old Vic’s brilliant take on ‘A Christmas Carol’ is returning for its fourth year and we’ll be perfectly honest with you, we’re pretty excited.
You see, we love this show. We gave it a rave four-star review last year and although we’d love to again be sat in the theatre watching it, this live-streamed production makes it brilliantly accessible. But the best bit? You only need to buy one ticket per screen, so grab your bubble and watch together for the cost of just one ticket. And yes, that’s for all of you.
Actually that’s not the best bit. We lied. Sorry. The actual best bit is that Andrew Lincoln (‘The Walking Dead’, ‘Teachers’, ‘Love Actually’) is playing Scrooge. Plus it’s written by Jack Thorne – the guy behind ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ and the BBC’s ‘His Dark Materials’. Pretty impressive pedigree, then. This is going to be good. | |
