Employers and employees have different visions of the post-pandemic workplace, according to a Best Practice Institute survey, so the onus is on leaders to create flexibility and growth opportunities regardless of where people are located, writes John Baldoni. "Employees not in the office need to have the opportunity for promotion, even if it means returning to the office for a new position," he writes.

More than 50% of workers considering a career change

A new Harris Poll shows that 52% of workers are considering a career change this year, which is slightly higher than in 2018. The most likely to change are those who earn $50,000 to $75,000 annually, at 59%.

Research by LeanIn.Org reveals Black female workers self-report that just one in three managers have checked in with them, and 59% of Black women have never informally interacted with senior leaders.
