Hi John, If you've ever found joy in the pages of TinkerLab: A Hands-on Guide for Little Inventors or Art Starts: 52 Projects for Open-Ended Exploration, you know the thrill of watching creativity unfold in young minds. But the journey doesn't end there—not for them, and certainly not for us. The desire to create, express, and explore is not confined to childhood; it persists in all of us. Yet, too often, we find ourselves either on the sidelines or facing the daunting blank page, unsure of where to start. I've been there too. One of my favorite strategies for overcoming this creative blocks and stuck-ness is through art prompts. These are sparks designed to ignite our imagination and propel us beyond the fear of blank paper. I believe this tool should be in every creative's toolkit. That's why I've put together a special starter set of Art Prompt Cards for us to explore together. Print them out, pick one or more at random (or intentionally), and let it lead you on a journey of artistic discovery. These cards present invitations to explore and express, each one suggesting endless journeys and destinations. I'm offering the starter set as a FREE download.
