Jazz @The CAM Jua

Jua is a unique and emotive jazz vocal stylist whose range brings to mind Jon Lucien and Will Downing, among others. Jua Howard (who uses only his first name professionally, Swahili for "sun") was a background vocalist with the legendary Blackbyrds, "Jazz was clearly a big part of their foundation," he says of the Blackbyrds. "Singing with them made me think seriously about pursuing a career in jazz." In June 2014, Jua showcased his change in musical focus with the release of his sophomore cd Colors of Life.
