Halls wants to reassure all our clients that, like all responsible businesses, we are monitoring closely the situation regarding coronavirus (covid-19) and the current UK government advice.
 
We plan to hold our auction tomorrow (The Spring Auction: 18^th March 2020) and remain open for business.  We urge all of our clients to follow government advice/guidelines and, as such, to take advantage of the alternative ways of bidding at auction other than bidding in person.

The alternatives to bidding in the room include leave a commission bid (a written bid submitted before the sale, which can also be dictated over the phone), or live online bidding.  There is a third option that is booking a telephone line, where a Halls’ member of staff will call the prospective buyer before the relevant lot(s) to execute the client’s bid whilst the sale is in progress.  Please note we have a finite number of telephone lines and mobile / smart phones are subject to the strength of signal and server connections etc.

Viewing the lots:

• We upload all our auctions online with all our lots illustrated with a colour photograph.

• All future auction catalogues can be found here ahead of each sale.

Condition Reports:

• We can provide full condition reports and additional photographs on any lots you are interested in prior to auction.
• Click here to request by email or go to the lot on our current auction catalogue and click the 'Request a condition report' button.

Bidding options:

Commission Bids / Absentee Bids
Bids may be left on all lots in advance by either -

• Phoning our commission bids office on 01743 450 700
• Emailing a bid through to us at adminfineart@hallsgb.com
• Registering for a client account on our website
• All bidders will have to provide two forms of identification to comply with existing and forthcoming Anti-Money Laundering Regulations
   

Online Live Bidding:

• You can bid live during our auction from anywhere you are as long as you register and connect to the catalogue in advance. 
• This incurs a 3% surcharge.
• Click here to register for a client account 
• 'Bid live' will appear on the catalogue on the morning of the auction when the auciton is open for online bidding

Selling:
Please continue to send us images of your items to our specialists for valuation.

Request a Valuation

• Email your images and details of your items to adminfineart@hallsgb.com
• Fill out one of our online valuation forms and attach photographs of your items
• For large numbers of images please upload and send them via the website wetransfer, click 'No thanks' to signing up and upload your images for free
• We will get back to you as soon as we can with a valuation
