FineArtViews - The AMP Newsletter

Hi There,

This week, I've been exploring Justin Timberlake's song, "Mirrors" and the work that goes into creating a fine mirror. Yesterday, I compared the work of polishing a mirror to the work that is involved in a relationship. The work of "polishing" yourselves, who started as glass and silver, into a fine reflection of each other...you polish yourselves into soulmates.

Twenty-five years ago next week, I married my mirror.

And we've spent every day of the past 25 years polishing that mirror...making our two souls closer and closer to one...becoming one reflection. The past year in particular, took a lot of work and elbow grease, as you all know, but we just kept polishing.

And after putting in such work for twenty five years, now, when I look at my beautiful wife, it's as the Timberlake song says, "it's like she's my mirror. My mirror staring back at me."

It boggles my mind to think how beautiful that reflection will be after 25 more years of polishing. And I look forward to that joyful work.

Happy Anniversary, P, I Love You.

Thank you for indulging me... let's move on to art marketing topics...

At FASO, we really try to ensure that our artists get to spend majority of their time and energy on creating in the studio while we take care of the "behind the scenes" on your FASO website.

In the article below, I discuss ways you can improve your email marketing by scheduling your newsletters. FASO's email newsletter platform allows you to work on them when you want and schedule them for a later date.

Sign up for your free-trial FASO account today to join the 14,000 members who know and trust FASO with their art website.

Please reply to this email and let us know if you have any questions about how you can easily improve your email marketing.

Enjoy,

As many of you already know, newsletters are one of the most important marketing channels for artists (and if you're still not convinced, you should check out our article on the topic).

One of the most important and challenging aspects of generating a newsletter is consistently delivering your newsletter with a regular frequency.

That's because our lives aren't always consistent or predictable. Some weeks we may have more time to dedicate to writing our newsletter, and at others we may be inundated with other tasks that are equally important to our art careers.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to take advantage of the downtime to create our newsletter content, and then to automatically send that content out to our subscribers even when we were busy?

Fortunately there is a feature that can help, and it's called Newsletter Scheduling. Not all newsletter platforms support Newsletter Scheduling (though all the big ones probably do), but fortunately we offer this feature on our FASO newsletter platform., ArtfulMail.

Our scheduling feature gives you even more control and flexibility with your email marketing. Write a newsletter whenever you like (3am on a 3 day weekend from a boat in the South Pacific perhaps?) Then set an exact time for it to sail away to your eager readers.

If you're not a FASO member, we highly encourage you to click here and give us a try.

I'm super excited to walk you through the process of tapping into it to ensure that you always get your newsletters out regularly and on time. Here's a step-by-step walk-through of how this new feature works in FASO.

To schedule your newsletter to send in the future:

1. Login to your FASO account Control Panel

7. Click Continue to Sending Options (blue button)

8. Click Schedule to send in the future (grey button)

9. Enter date and time you want it to go (in Central Time)

10. Click Schedule (or if you're ready after all, click Send Now)

Give it a bit to make updates; you should then see this nice message:

UnSchedule / Edit after Scheduling:

Change your mind? Need to make more edits? No worries. You can UNschedule the newsletter at any time. (Well, until it goes out.)

  1. Follow steps 1-3 above

  2. Click Sent (left column)

  3. Click Scheduled

  4. Click Unschedule (to left of title) - this puts it back in Drafts

or
5. click Edit (to the right)

Then send it out when you please, or re-schedule it.

I hope you found this walk-through helpful and that it helps you take your newsletter marketing to the next level. And remember, if you have any questions about this new feature you can always reach out to our friendly and knowledgeable support team for help. They'll help get you up and running with Newsletter Scheduling in no time.

So what are you waiting for? Have fun writing newsletters to your heart's content, anytime, anywhere. Wow the crowd and watch your fan club grow (aka Collectors).
