Improving your onboarding process through effective communication

In any attempt to streamline the onboarding process, it is important to stress the importance of cross-department communication. Many organizations have developed a multi-departmental practitioner onboarding checklist and/or a multi-departmental onboarding meeting. If you are looking to improve your onboarding process, it is recommended you develop at least one of these tools.

Telepsychiatry continues to grow at a rapid rate

In recent years, telemedicine has experienced unprecedented growth. According to GlobeNewswire, the telemedicine market is expected to surpass $48.8 billion by 2023. Currently, one of the fastest-growing segments of telemedicine is telepsychiatry, in which a psychiatrist conducts an appointment with a patient via a broadband connection instead of in person.

District court: ‘Substantial similarity’ in credentialing forms is copyright infringement

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana (the “Court”) found a hospital committed copyright infringement against a credentialing firm by using, reproducing, and distributing the firm’s credentialing documents.

CRC is heading to Las Vegas

The 2019 Credentialing Resource Center Symposium will be held February 26-28 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. With so many credentialing, privileging, and medical staff leadership topics to cover, the Symposium has been expanded to 2.5 days and will feature a new provider enrollment track.
