  Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt found his calling in 1968. Flynt started a pornography empire during a year of changing social norms, and became an accidental champion of the First Amendment along the way. Flynt’s story is the latest installment of the USA TODAY Network's 1968 project, a yearlong look at the devastating year we lost Martin Luther King Jr., Robert Kennedy, and our illusions about the Vietnam War, which wouldn't end and couldn't be won.
