A Message From the Editor Good morning. In the past year, a number of AI models have been used to perform legal work, but they have been general LLMs that have been fine-tuned for legal, rather than built from scratch. In fact, domain-specific, built-from-scratch LLMs are still rare in any insdustry. Recently, however, 273 Ventures introduced KL3M, the first LLMs built from the ground up for commercial legal use and trained on lawfully obtained datasets.
