| Good morning and welcome to the Saints Insider newsletter for Thursday, June 8, 2023. It didn't take long for Derek Carr to fall in love with Erik McCoy. The Saints new starting quarterback saw a play by the Saints center while studying game film this offseason and immediately texted his new teammate. The Pro Bowl QB and veteran center have spent the past three weeks getting to know how each other operates on and off the practice field. So far, it's been a mutual admiration society, columnist Rod Walker opines. If you missed my takeaways from Tuesday's offseason practice session, there were plenty of news and nuggets to dine on from the competitive two-hour workout. That's all for today.
