View in browser | hyperallergic.comMay 19, 2020Letter from the editor: I've been podcasting since 2016, and from almost day one I've wanted to interview Hyperallergic Weekend editor, art critic, and poet John Yau. I was lucky to host him in our studio before the pandemic, and I'm very pleased to bring you this insightful look at the childhood, influences, and history of a writer whom I consider one of the must-read art critics today. I found his stories about growing up Asian American and the influence it had on his later work particularly poignant.
