In Lafayette, more buyers favoring newly built homes than existing ones

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Staff writer

Happy Friday, Acadiana Business newsletter readers. It's time for headlines.

The number of existing homes sold in Lafayette Parish by the end of the year could be the lowest reported in nearly 10 years, data shows.

Only 1,291 have changed hands through July, which is the lowest total through July since 2016, according to data from Bill Bacque with Market Scope Consulting.

You can read the story here.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading.
