| It is with a sense of shock, tinged with deep sadness, that we inform our loyal membership and subscriber base that one of the stalwarts of our association has been taken from us.
Jackie Moore, our GCWA Membership Secretary, and the lady who welcomed everyone at the door to our meetings with a ready smile and generous heart, passed away last week.
All interested persons are invited to attend a Celebration of Jackie's life to be held on Monday 7 December at 4:00pm to 6:30pm AEST at the Rotary Broadwater Chapel by the Sea, 95 Marine Parade, Southport, Queensland, 4215.
As Jackie's much-loved son, Ciaran, wrote earlier today of Jackie's advice to him:
"Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know."
Mum, you were the epitome of a positive attitude that would climb mountains on a daily basis.
You will be sorely missed, but happily remembered.
Jackie most certainly achieved this virtuous goal.
We will miss her terribly.
