Engaged and active residents create a proud community with quality care, happy residents and happy staff, and an improved bottom line. This webcast will detail strategies to overcome activity programming challenges, such as discouraged staff, disengaged residents, and burnout.

This program will assist activity coordinators to create strong and enduring activities programs that motivate residents to participate. Expert Jillian Thomas, RCFE-Certified, CDP, will share methods to reduce time spent searching for new activities and will review how to design resident-driven activities program, how to reduce the risk of having disengaged employees and residents to improve census and patient care and quality, and satisfaction scores.

Implement a plan for cross-training your frontline staff
Provide residents a sense of purpose.
Identify the restrictions placed on residents prematurely.
Implement strategies to cultivate a resident-engaged culture

Meet the Speaker

Jillian Thomas, RCFE-Certified, CDP, acts as Director of Assisted Living Operations for Covenant Retirement Communities. In this position, she is responsible for the coordination and operational oversight of CRC’s assisted living & memory care programs within its 13 retirement communities nationwide.

Thomas has more than 10 years of health care and management experience in the senior housing industry. She is a dementia practitioner, and holds a certification in assisted living Administration in Wisconsin and RCFE Certification in California. Thomas is also a member of the Leading Age Illinois Assisted Living Cabinet, and is certified as a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association.
