Today is Easter Sunday, which for many means Sunday worship and singing. Joan Figley is a music director for St. Walter Catholic Church in Roselle, Illinois. She said, “Singing has tremendous power, both spiritually and physically.” In most religions and belief systems, music plays a large role. Music seems to be able to speak a language everyone can understand regardless of personal situation, differences or hardships. I hope that this Sunday finds you, wherever you may be, listening to music that brings peace and comfort to you.

Perspective: If you don't believe in the resurrection, consider butterflies
Easter Sunday brings to mind thoughts of Christ. Christ's story is a miraculous one, to say the least. But his greatest miracle, by far, was that of the resurrection. How did he do it? Did it really happen? Or is it just some fantastical myth that gives comfort to those who believe? If these thoughts have ever crossed your mind, consider the science behind the transition caterpillars undergo to become butterflies. That transition can seem a bit fantastical, too.
