In Praise of Evangelicals

“Evangelical” isn’t exactly a favorable term these days. It’s become politicalized, causing many to drop the label altogether.

Recently, I poked fun at the stigma online challenging my followers to “say something good about evangelicals.” I was surprised by the deluge of positive comments. “They introduced me to Jesus,” one said. “They showed me love after I went public about my abortion,” said another.

They’re not the only ones with something positive to say. In spite of all the negativity about evangelicals, Russell Moore believes “There’s Never Been a Better Time to Be an Evangelical.” After reading his article, I think you might agree.

Speaking of evangelicals, one of the hallmarks of the movement is a commitment to evangelism. But evangelism can be hard, awkward. Our resource, Doable Evangelism, is designed to make sharing the good news easy and natural.
