Many — if not most — affairs begin in the workplace. It makes sense: you see your coworkers daily, bond over shared wins and failures, eat lunch together and grab drinks at happy hour. But that was before COVID hit. With so many of us working from home, is office infidelity a thing of the past?

There may be less opportunity for physical closeness, but according to marriage and family therapist Caroline Madden, emotional infidelity is on the rise. And for the dedicated cheater, where there’s a will there’s a way; the office may be closed, but hotels are open.
