HEALTH TIP

Quit smoking: Talk to your health care provider
Don't be afraid to ask your doctor for help to stop smoking. Treatments that can lessen cravings include nicotine replacement therapies in the forms of skin patches, lozenges, gum, inhalers and nasal sprays. You can begin these treatments on your quit day. Other non-nicotine medication can help reduce nicotine withdrawal symptoms by mimicking how the drug functions in your body. You should start taking this medication one to two weeks before your quit day.
