Matthew Stokes, an art dealer at Corkin Gallery, stumbled into collecting in 2006 and has since amassed a precious collection of art deco furniture from the 1920s and ’30s. In his 455-square-foot bachelor in Yorkville, not a single piece of furniture was made after 1940.
