A Beverly Hills mansion overlooking the fairways of the Los Angeles Country Club has sailed onto the market for an attention-grabbing $32 million. Purchased three years ago by Dutch media mogul Reinout Oerlemans and his wife Danielle, the ivy-clad French chateau-style residence has since undergone a glamorous makeover. Along with serene gardens and stone-paved patios for dining and lounging, a light tennis court is discreetly tucked into the slope below the swimming pool and spillover spa. On the other side of the country, designer Reed Krakoff and interior designer Delphine Krakoff have hung a $25.5 million price tag on another modernly updated French-style manor house, on 52 mostly wooded acres in New Canaan, Connecticut, that was owned for more than sixty years by the late and reclusive copper mining heiress Huguette Clark, who famously never spent a single night in the nine-bedroom and 10-bath residence.
