When Funko Pops were first released in 2010, Allan Martinez was immediately hooked. The collectible vinyl toys depict popular characters from franchises like Star Wars and superhero movies—with cartoonish oversized heads. “It’s cool to see characters I love in that form,” says Martinez. After amassing more than 800 pieces, he did a mindful purge and now has about 400. Here, a look inside his home. |

He asked her to search for it, then told her to call 911 so paramedics could come remove it. “There was no way I was calling an ambulance for something so minor,” she says. So he decided to call himself. |
