For Its Super Bowl Ad, NFL Looks to the Past to Embrace the Future

Two years ago, the NFL delivered one of the most star-studded ads in Super Bowl history. This year, it's taking the opposite approach, recreating Vince Lombardi through an ambitious artificial intelligence project. The NFL gave us a sneak peek at how the ad came together, which is running just before kickoff. Watch the teaser and learn how the NFL created the spot.

Amazon is back in the Super Bowl

Is Michael B. Jordan now Alexa-enabled? Amazon continues its run of celebrity-fueled spots with what appears to be Michael B. Jordan with Alexa in his eyes. Perhaps the most iconic of Amazon's Super Bowl ads came when Cardi B, Rebel Wilson and Anthony Hopkins "replaced" Alexa. Amazon Studios will also continue its run in the Super Bowl by featuring the Coming 2 America trailer.

DraftKings to make Super Bowl debut

DraftKings hasn't released any creative yet, but the brand will have two 15-second ads in the game this year. It'll promote a $55 million in-game challenge.

Twitter Just Created a Custom Font to Better Reflect Its Brand Identity

Twitter's brand refresh comes with its own custom font...appropriately called Chirp. It's not the first time a brand rolled out its own font. Netflix did so in 2018—the decision likely led to Netflix saving millions of dollars in licensing fees. Last summer, Goldman Sachs also released its own font that Microsoft Office users could add to their documents.

Inside the refresh: Twitter's top marketers explain the logic behind its rebranding decisions.

The Richards Group Lays Off Roughly 15% of Staff

Three months ago, Stan Richards left The Richards Group after calling an ad concept "too black." After his comments, clients cut ties with the agency immediately, and as a result, the agency let go about 15% of its staff late last year.
