The Radical Monarchs are a different kind of scout troop where girls of color form fierce sisterhood, celebrate their identities, contribute radically to their community and earn badges for self-empowerment and social justice. Follow the first troop and explore the challenges of growing the organization in We Are the Radical Monarchs, a POV documentary that premieres on Monday, July 20, at 9pm on KQED 9. One hundred years ago, women won the right to vote in the U.S. In celebration of the anniversary, American Experience presents a two-part series on the struggle that resulted in the largest expansion of voting rights in U.S. history.
