Intel released more data yesterday that suggests that its new Rocket Lake-S chip outperforms the AMD equivalent by about 11 percent—at least in terms of
storage performance. Sound familiar? That's because it released
a similar report just a few weeks ago that found Intel chips are also (supposedly) faster than Apple's new M1 chipset.
I know that chip makers have been releasing benchmarks like these for decades, but I can't help but wonder if Apple's M1 chips are creating more urgency in the industry than we've ever seen (Spoiler: Samsung is also responding. Check out the link in today's newsletter).
What do you make of all of this? Am I blowing it out of proportion? Let me know by chiming in on this new thread in the
SaaSOps Community.
