Dear John, Intentions are desires that we activate with our thoughts, words and actions. More grounded than a wish. More serious than a resolution. Less complicated than either. Setting an intention for your yoga practice is simply bringing your attention to a quality that you wish to cultivate. That could be something very ‘yogic’, such as contentment, self-compassion, acceptance or non-attachment, or something more tangible like building physical strength, concentrating on your breath, being gentle with your body or inviting a sense of playfulness. How about setting a New Year’s intention to join us for our 20 is Plenty Yoga Challenge? Kick off your New Year with 20 minute, all-round yoga practices you can easily squeeze into your day – starting January 3rd! Wishing you a blissful 2022! Love, Esther and the team. |
