~Herman Melville I lived in Southwick, Massachusetts, a little municipality with one church, one drugstore, and two traffic lights. After a while, I got to know most everybody since we all attended each other's garage sales, gathered at high school events, and got our cars fixed by the one and only mechanic. Gossip ran rampant in our little town, but I tried to stay out of other people's affairs. Even if they needed help, I didn't feel right making the offer.
