The International Swimming Hall of Fame adds seven new members to its Board of Directors:

David Arluck (USA)
Founder and CEO, Fitter and Faster Swim Camps, the most innovative and premier swim camp company in the world, producing more than 400 camps in more than 49 states and Canada for 20,000 swimmers; These camps are led by 120 elite level swimmer-clinicians and coaches representing 21 countries and 18 countries at the Olympic Games; Some of them ISHOF Honorees, including: Matt Biondi, Jenny Thompson, Gary Hall, Jr. and many others; 

Stathis Avramidis (Greece)
Lifesaving expert for the country of Greece, PhD, Instructor of Lifeguarding-Lifesaving Sport, Athens University; 2009 Paragon Award, Aquatic Safety; Author, Broadcaster; Promotes Lifesaving and Water Safety around the globe;

Dara Torres (USA)
At 41, she was the oldest swimmer to earn a place on an Olympic team, she is a 12-time Olympic medalist (4 gold, 4 silver, 4 bronze), only one of three (women with 12 medals), who attended five (5) Olympic Games (1984, 1988, 1992, 2000, 2008); She is also one of just a handful of Olympians, winning a medal in five different Olympics; Television announcer and reporter for various networks, Veteran Celebrity swimmer for Swim Across America; an Author of several best-selling books; serves as Vice-President of the Foundation of Princess Charlene of Monaco that helps children “Learn to Swim” (American Chapter).

Just recently, ISHOF had a very special visit from the daughter of one of our most notable Honorees, Jill Counsilman Morris, and her husband, Mike. They came to the museum to see dad, Dr. James E. “Doc” Counsilman’s display, artifacts, and files. Doc Counsilman is one of the most prestigious coaches in swimming history, coaching at Indiana University for over 30 years, 1957-1990...

ISHOF loses one of its biggest supporters: John Spannuth, who was there in the very early days of ISHOF

On Monday, December 19, 2022, ISHOF lost a great friend. John Spannuth, of Boynton Beach was one of the original men who was there when ISHOF was first founded, back in 1965. He was there from the very beginning, and he was involved with ISHOF in some capacity until the very end. He was involved in aquatics for over 60 years in many capacities, most currently as CEO of United States Water Fitness Association, until his recent retirement.

ISHOF Honoree, Lenny Krayzelburg To Receive 
2023 NCAA Silver Anniversary Award
Former USC swimmer Lenny Krayzelburg has been named one of six recipients of the 2023 NCAA Silver Anniversary Award, announced on Monday.

The awards recognize outstanding athletes on the 25th anniversary of the end of their college careers. They are nominated by administrators at their schools and chosen by a panel of former student-athletes from NCAA member schools and conferences.
