A new face

Hello, Technical.ly readers! In case you didn’t catch last week’s introductory Q&A, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Sameer Rao, a Baltimore-based journalist who today started as Technical.ly’s new editor overseeing Baltimore and DC coverage, plus some occasional stints in our other markets.

After spending much of my career reporting on arts and culture news, with the exception of my most recent job covering the legal industry and access to justice issues for Law360, I’m thrilled to now learn far more about how Baltimore and DC handle the myriad issues and trends impacting their tech sectors. While I’ve already learned plenty from my Technical.ly colleagues’ coverage of these markets, I encourage technologists and sector leaders from the region and beyond to reach out with pitches, virtual coffee invitations and anything else they feel might help me truly understand how their worlds work.

What's a local trend you're watching now, or something you think Technical.ly should know about? My inbox is always open.

— Technical.ly Editor Sameer Rao (sameer@technical.ly)
