Docker Enterprise Edition
Today Docker announced a new product, Docker Enterprise Edition (EE) and renamed our free products to Docker Community Edition (CE).

Docker Enterprise Edition (EE) is an integrated, supported and certified container platform for CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, Suse Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), Oracle Linux and Windows Server 2016, as well as for cloud providers AWS and Azure.

Save Your Seat for the upcoming webinar featuring Docker EE on March 14th.

Docker EE is available in three tiers: Basic, Standard and Advanced:
  • Basic: The Docker Platform for certified infrastructure, with support from Docker Inc. and certified Containers and Plugins from Docker Store
  • Standard: Adds Docker Datacenter capabilities of advanced image and container management, LDAP/AD user integration, and role-based access control
  • Advanced: Adds Docker Security Scanning and continuous vulnerability monitoring

Docker EE is available as a free trial and for purchase from Docker Sales, online via Docker Store, and is supported by Alibaba, Canonical, HPE, IBM, Microsoft and by our network of regional partners.

Additionally, we are introducing the Docker Certification Program. This program will certify containers and plugins from our ecosystem partners. For example - ISV containers that run on top of the Docker platform and networking and storage plugins that extend the Docker platform.

Docker and our partners will provide cooperative support so that you can confidently use these products in production. Certified Containers and Plugins are available to download and install from the Docker Store.

For the developer and “do it yourself” ops community, we have renamed our free software to Docker Community Edition (CE). It is available for Mac and Windows, for AWS and Azure, and for CentOS, Debian, Fedora and Ubuntu, all downloadable from Docker Store.
