Monday: Hunter Valley vineyards are expecting to experience a tourism boom this week as regional travel restrictions ease across New South Wales. Wineries say they've put in considerable planning to ensure social distancing and hygiene practices are in place. Tuesday: Young people in Cessnock struggling with mental health issues will soon have greater access to support. Headspace is launching a satellite service that will operate three days a week. Wednesday: A new app has been launched with the aim of helping non-government organisations and businesses struggling with the coronavirus pandemic. 'Lean In Newy' will connect organisations with volunteers, who will receive vouchers and discounts redeemable at local businesses. Thursday: Efforts are underway to decant thousands of litres of diesel from a locomotive engine that derailed in the Upper Hunter last night. The Australian Rail Track Corporation has confirmed the northbound loco came off the tracks just before 8pm between Ardglen and Kankool. Safety investigators were due on site this morning to inspect the area. | |

Meet one of our Mornings producers Kyle Carroll | |
| Kyle works with Mornings' presenter Kia Handley (but this week it's Craig Hamilton). His favourite aspect of the job is working with the people at ABC Newcastle (awww). He says from the day he started his internship last year, he's felt very welcome and has learnt a lot from his colleagues.
Outside of work Kyle likes to get away from it all and go camping with his mates. He's been to some amazing spots including Fraser Island, where he camped on the beach for a week.
His favourite food is a medium-rare scotch fillet with chips, salad and Diane sauce on the side (has to be on the side!), accompanied by a nice shiraz. | |
