 Apple has released iOS 13.5 Beta today. The iOS 13.5 beta arrived with the first version of exposure notification API used for COVID-19 contact tracing.  After releasing the third developer beta builds of iOS 13.5, iPadOS 13.5, tvOS 13.4.5, and watchOS 6.2.5, Apple has released the third developer beta version of macOS Catalina 10.15.5.  Apple has released the third developer beta builds of tvOS 13.4.5 and watchOS 6.2.5 today. These latest beta builds will be compatible with all devices which were compatible with tvOS 13 and watchOS 6, but they can only be installed on the units that are registered to beta test Apple’s operating systems.  After releasing the second developer beta version of iOS 13.4.5 and iPadOS 13.4.5, Apple has now released the third beta versions of iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 to developers.  A few years ago, Apple switched to Thunderbolt 3 ports on its Macs, including iMacs, Mac Minis, and MacBooks. The do-it-all port developed by Intel features high data bandwidth of up to 40Gbps and has the reversible USB Type-C connector.  The 2020 iPhone SE offers plenty of value for its money. It has decent battery life, offers great performance, and has a relatively impressive 12MP shooter at the rear despite using the same sensor as the iPhone 8. However, one major omission in the iPhone SE’s feature list is that it lacks a dedicated Night mode in the camera app. This means that its low-light imaging performance is going to be abysmal.  Apple has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit in California which claimed that it had intentionally broken FaceTime on older iPhones. The lawsuit claimed that Apple forced iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s owners to upgrade to iOS 7 by breaking FaceTime in iOS 6. The case was to go on trial this month. Continue reading → |
