TOP OF THE AGENDA | Israel and Iran continue to exchange fire |
| | Iran said it wants to return to the negotiating table, but not while it's under attack. Credit: EPA/EFE Shutterstock | Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi is due to hold face-to-face talks with his counterparts from the UK, the EU, France and Germany, who are expected to call for Tehran to return to the negotiating table. The meeting in Geneva marks the most significant European involvement since Israel attacked Iran a week ago, writes Lyse Doucet. Despite those efforts, and US President Donald Trump's announcement of a two-week window for peace talks, the exchange of fire continues, reports Dan Johnson from Jerusalem. Israel's army said it hit targets linked to Iran's nuclear and missile programme, while Iran once against struck the southern Israeli city Beersheba. |

| | | The dispute threatens to further polarise Armenian society ahead of the 2026 vote. Credit: Press office of the government of Armenia | Armenia's liberal government has never been an ally of the deeply conservative Armenian Apostolic Church.
