Good morning. In Asia, we're looking at whether Chinese law firms are sidelining Big Law on Hong Kong listings. Meanwhile in Canada, a debate is raging in the province of British Columbia over who should regulate lawyers. And in the U.S., the general counsel of embattled TikTok has stepped down to focus on fighting a new federal law that will ban the app in the United States if its Chinese owner doesn’t sell its stake within a year.
