I keep forgetting it's a long holiday weekend for both the US (Indigenous Peoples' Day) and Canada (Thanksgiving). Normally, we’re celebrating Thanksgiving in Canada with my wife’s family but we aren’t ready to put the kids on a plane during COVID so for now, we’re just traveling locally. 

However, I hope it won’t be much longer before we can travel with the kids and I’m especially encouraged after I read a New York Times article, Covid, in Retreat. In today's post are some quotes from the story but it’s definitely worth the two minutes to read it all.
