Dear John,

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. More often, this day is referred to as the Feast of Christ the King.

We have a new Christ the King webpage that we hope you will visit. This online resource features:

  • A free eBook, Christ the King: Prayers & Meditations
  • Questions and answers about this solemnity
  • Videos about Christ the King

Pope Pius XI said that the many evils in the world—including secularization, communism, and atheism —were “due to the fact that the majority of men had thrust Jesus Christ and his holy law out of their lives.” Instead of following the ways of the world, Pope Pius said that Christ should reign as King in every aspect of every Christian’s life. That’s wonderful advice for each one of us.

On this last Sunday of the liturgical year, we hope that you will go to our website to learn more about this special feast day: ewtn.com/ChristtheKing.

May Our Lord, the King of the Universe, bring you ever closer to Himself.

In Christ,
