Is LSU really NILSU?

It's an oft-repeated question in this wild new era of college athletics?

Does LSU have enough NIL money to stay competitive nationally, especially in the bellcow sport of football?

Our Wilson Alexander takes a deep dive into that subject with a story I'm sure LSU fans will find urgent, facinating and timely.

More of LSU's seasons impacted by the additions of Texas and Oklahoma are coming into view for the 2024-25 academic year. Now we're talking men's basketball, as we find out who and where (though not yet when) the Tigers are playing this upcoming season. Tuesday we'll get the same news for women's basketball.

Speaking of women's basketball, Angel Reese is speaking out on what she misses about LSU now that she's about to start the regular season with the WNBA's Chicago Sky.

Make it two LSU senior gymnasts who have decided to return for a fifth season in 2025. Two weeks ago it was All-American Haleigh Bryant and Monday it was Sierra Ballard, who did the routine of her life on balance beam to lead off the Tigers in that unforgettable final routine to clinch the program's first NCAA championship. And yes, still waiting to hear about the plans of Kiya Johnson, Olivia Dunne and the rest of the seniors who can return next season.

Finally, the NCAA Baton Rouge men's golf regional is going on right now at the University Club. See where the Tigers stack up against the rest of the field.

Thanks for reading and subscribing. We have a lot more LSU sports-related content for you this week, so please come back each day for the best LSU newsletter around.
