Dear John,

We are delighted that about 30,000 people use OCW every day.  Our analytics indicate that most people find OCW through search engines, and about 60% of them spend substantial time on the site, viewing multiple courses and downloading material. And every single one of our nearly 2,500 courses is visited many times per year.

However, we would like to better understand why OCW is important to you

Although learners tell us how OCW helps them with their studies, prepares them for new careers, gives them the opportunity to study what they wish, and educators tell us how OCW inspires them with high-quality content and new teaching methods -- we’d like to hear from you.

And so in this note, I’ll ask you for two things:

  1. Please tell us why OCW is important to you. Your feedback truly exemplifies to our funders the impact we are making in the lives of learners and by extension in their communities.

  2. If you are able to contribute, then please consider OCW in your end-of-year giving. Your donation, large or small, will help us keep publishing and distributing the educational materials that support learners everywhere.

Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness and consideration.

Sincerely,
Krishna
