INDUSTRY NEWS

NATIONAL: Penske Media Corporation—publishers of Rolling StoneVarietyWWD, and 16 other media brands—recently invested in event management and technical production agency LDJ Productions. In addition to its experiential work for a diverse group of clients, LDJ recently launched virtual event platform LDJ+.

ATLANTA: Co-working concept Spaces will open its new flagship location in Midtown's Colony Square development on June 1. The new, 43,000-square-foot space boasts several common area amenities for members, in addition to a rooftop balcony overlooking Peachtree Street and outdoor seating.

CHICAGO: Choose Chicago has debuted Tourism & Hospitality Forward, a new initiative designed to support the city's tourism industry post-coronavirus. The coalition is made up of 250 local tourism, hospitality, meeting, and event organizations.

LOS ANGELES: The Anaheim Convention Center has announced plans to become the
largest exhibition facility on the West Coast to receive the Global Biorisk Advisory Council STAR accreditation.

SEATTLE: Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Ciara, Macklemore, Brandi Carlile, and more will perform at a virtual benefit concert on June 10. The experience will benefit All In WA, a statewide relief effort to support workers and families affected by COVID-19. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos will match donations up to $25 million; overall, the event hopes to raise $65 million.
