BROUGHT TO YOU BY INDIE SHOPOGRAPHY

I feel it. My pals are feeling it. Perhaps you're feeling it too.

It's the dead of summer, and business is quite possibly feeling the slump.

I found out early in my web design business that summers were never going to be hoppin' with new client projects. Folks are on vacation, not yet ready to gear up for the holidays, and otherwise not thinking of launching a new website.

I get it. But it always hurt.

That is until I realized that I had to use my slow summers to my advantage. And if you're feeling the same lull, I'd like to share how you can, too.

Here are some of my favorite ways to still be killer productive while business is slow:

1 - Plan and create lots of social media content.

You know how you forget you have an Instagram during the Christmas rush? Why not plan for that now?

I like to spend my downtime planning and scheduling social media, including creating buckets of quote graphics and other fun visuals to make my social media pop.

Then, later on, it's just plug-and-play. #yaasss

2 - Manage my email list.

I feel like I spend the majority of my summers in my email marketing software making it fabulous. You can clean out your list, revisit your drip content, or check in on your auto-responders to really keep everything on the up-and-up.

3 - Plan your next product or launch.

Why not spend your down-time hustling out a new product or finally getting your course or ebook under wraps?

I get asked all the time - when should I create my ecourse? How do I make time to make a new, rad opt-in? What about creating passive income?

Well, you do it when business is slow.

Having a slow season in your business is a completely normal thing. As you do this a while, you'll find where the ebbs and flows happen, and you'll know what to expect.

And when the slumps occur, do yourself a favor and keep at it, taking the time to work on your business.
