It is important to get a job offer in writing to reduce chances of miscommunication and misunderstandings, dental hygienist Mari Alvarez wrote in DentistryIQ. "A written offer shows the integrity of the employer when they state that they are willing to follow through with agreements," Ms. Alvarez wrote. A written offer is not legally binding, but it does provide documentation of the terms of employment.

While 80% of company executives think they're doing a good job when it comes to employee health and wellness, only 46% of employees believe this to be true, based on a recent survey by the people analytics platform Visier. This discrepancy may be due to issues such as work-from-home policies, transparency of pandemic-related policies, and the lack of training and education to advance employee skills, all of which may be contributing to employee burnout.
