The security cabinet convened tonight in the IDF’s underground command room, known as “the pit," at the military headquarters. This urgent meeting highlights the escalating threat from Hezbollah in Lebanon, marking the first such gathering in this location since April 13-14, when Iran launched 300 missiles and drones at Israel.

The IDF is preparing for a potential preemptive strike against Hezbollah, pending orders from the security cabinet. Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav noted the significant advancements in Hezbollah’s arsenal since the Second Lebanon War, warning that the terror group could fire 4,000 missiles at Israel each day. He urged citizens to prepare enough food and water to stay in shelters for four to six days.
