| In recent weeks, Israel has faced an alarming surge in terror and attempted terror attacks, with incidents occurring almost daily. Today, we witnessed yet another harrowing event—an attempted shooting attack targeting IDF soldiers in the Shomron. An armed terrorist approached an IDF post outside Shechem, aiming to open fire. Fortunately, before he could carry out his attack, he was neutralized by an IDF reserve soldier, preventing casualties. Unfortunately, not all such episodes conclude without tragedy. Just last week, an IDF soldier was seriously wounded in Haifa during a ramming attack by an axe-wielding terrorist. This incident starkly illustrates the unpredictable and volatile nature of the threats we face. Simultaniously, a terror group from Lebanon, known as the "Galilee Forces," has released a video issuing death threats against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Member of Knesset (MK) Zvi Sukkot. Such threats against Israeli leaders underscore the complex challenges confronting our nation. In light of these developments, the role of Zaka has never been more critical.
