Good evening

It’s a bank holiday weekend and for the first time in many months, it actually feels like one!

There are a whole host of events going on right across the county from music festivals to fun runs ... plus the Red Arrows flying over Blackpool on their way to an event in the Isle of Man.

And guess what ... the sun is going to shine too!

That means that we also have the option of a day at the beach or in the park or a garden party for family and friends complete with barbeques.

It seems like a long time since so many annual events were actually going ahead rather than being cancelled because of Covid, so let’s take solace in that.

Of course, we are not out of the woods yet with this virus and we know that places where lots of people gather together can be a breeding ground for spreading it.

So proceed with a little bit of caution as you enjoy the weekend. Stay outdoors if you can and enjoy the sunshine ... and wherever you are heading, get there early as the roads to sea and country are likely to be very busy.

But most of all, have fun. You deserve it.

Until next time, take care,

Gillian
