It’s been 18 years since we released Chasing Cars and the album it’s featured on, Eyes Open. Here we are playing it at the mighty Abbey Road Studios back in 2006. Getting to play and record in this almost mythical place where The Beatles (and so many others) recorded many of their albums was so exciting for us and I remember being very nervous at the time. To be honest any time we have recorded there since then I was also nervous. As if even disturbing the atoms of such a sacred place is sacrilegious.
But, a studio is also meant to be place to play and record music and not a museum. With that said though it’s hard to get out of your mind that The Beatles recorded in the building you’re standing in! But here we are giving it a good go.
