Learn to sew your own Silk Organza Portraits at our upcoming course.

Join acclaimed textile artist and tutor Emily Jo Gibbs on this two day masterclass in early December, here at Atelier Beside the Sea.

Working from your own photographs, you'll learn to use layers and pieces of silk organza to build a delicate collage portrait, shading the details and adding depth and character with a variety of stitches.

More and more parcels are arriving here at ABtS, bringing more and more signs of festivities to come.

This week we've received elfish hats from Angelika Klose, cards and gift tags from Hadley, prints and ceramics to be unboxed for our next show, and beautiful ‘Instead of a card’ poetry pamphlets from the independent publishing house Candlestick Press.
