But I’m enjoying the book’s constant code-switching (to use its own phrasing). There are so many times Frank has to switch mentality and language to fit the environment, whether it’s a Gathering, the Store, or school. I think the way people navigate life in different situations with different people is something everyone can relate to even if some of the smaller nuances feel unfamiliar.”
