| Super Bowl week is finally here. So is Showdown Week for the LSU women's basketball team. The Tigers survived a 72-66 win Sunday at Texas A&M to push their record to 23-0 (11-0 SEC) this season, setting up one of the biggest regular season showdowns in program history this Super Bowl Sunday at No. 1-ranked South Carolina (23-0, 10-0 SEC). The Gamecocks still have to hold up their end with a win Thursday at Auburn (7 p.m., SECNetwork+), but barring a completely shocking upset it will be the last two unbeatens in the country going at it at 1 p.m. Sunday in Columbia on ESPN. There was some thought that it might be a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown, but LSU stayed put at No. 3 in the AP poll despite a loss by No. 2 Stanford at Washington. The USA Today coaches' poll comes out Tuesday. While we're in the thick of basketball season and March Madness is starting to come into view, is there ever a bad time for a good 'ol football depth chart? Didn't think so. Our Wilson Alexander gives his first take at a pre-spring practice depth chart for the Tigers in his latest dispatch. The LSU gymnastics team is also headed on the road this weekend to take on No. 5 Auburn at their place Friday (7:30 p.m., SEC Network). LSU coach Jay Clark said he wants his team to feel like the hunter and not the hunted going to take on Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee and those Tigers.
